On 9th August gunmen on motorcycles have attacked a group of ACTED aid workers in Niger, in the Kouré area, south-east of Niamey, killing six French citizens, their local guide and driver.
We are shocked and saddened. On behalf of all Alliance2015 members we send all thoughts, sympathy, condolences and solidarity to the families and friends who lost their loved ones, and to all of our ACTED colleagues. Aid workers must never be a target.
