Overview
The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains extremely dire, with millions of civilians enduring acute shortages of food, clean water, healthcare, and shelter following years of conflict and displacement. Despite a ceasefire in place since October 2025, violence continues near key areas and access constraints persist, trapping over 2 million people in overcrowded and fragile living conditions with severe winter impacts, rising malnutrition, and ongoing civilian casualties. Humanitarian access is challenged by bureaucratic restrictions and the suspension of many international NGOs’ operations, threatening the delivery of lifesaving assistance.
Alliance2015 Response
In this context, Alliance2015 members have sustained their efforts to alleviate suffering and save lives. Cesvi — with support from partners including Concern Worldwide and Welthungerhilfe — continues vital distributions of clean water, nutritional support, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services across Gaza, reaching tens of thousands of displaced people daily. They operate nutrition centres, deliver food parcels, and maintain sanitation facilities in crowded shelters and camps. Acted has also scaled up its assistance to displaced populations across Gaza and the West Bank, while joint efforts aim to sustain access to essential goods and protect vulnerable groups, particularly children at risk of acute malnutrition.
