In 2010, Alliance2015 celebrates its 10th anniversary. 2010 is significant: there are now only five years to go to reach the MDGS.

In 2010, Alliance2015 celebrates its 10th anniversary. 2010 is significant: there are now only five years to go to reach the MDGS. 

In 2010, we will take stock of the progress made to reach the MDGs. We will look at the donors with a particular focus on the EU as we continue our 2015-Watch series. Our sixth 2015-Watch report will be launched in Brussels on June 1st 2010. 

We will also look at ourselves and take stock of our achievements so far. Alliance2015 members provide a substantial input towards achieving the MDGs, and we must always question ourselves and whether we are using our resources optimally or whether we can become more aid effective.

All Alliance members have recommitted themselves to our network in 2009. With the help of an internal study and analysis of Alliance2015, we managed to take some big steps towards more coherent and increased cooperation between the various members. Six pilot-countries have been selected in which Alliance2015 will intensify cooperation, moving towards more division of labour, harmonization and alignment.
