Facts & Figures
Below are some statistics on Alliance2015. You can see how much and what kind of funding the members received and how these funds are spent.
During 2006, Alliance members received a total of 433,3 mio. Euro. The majority of the funds came from the EU or other institutional sources. 'Donations in kind' refers to wheat or other types of grain for large emergency projects in the Darfur region of Sudan for example.
The overall income of close to half a billion Euro makes Alliance2015 quite a significant player in the European NGO scene.

The graph to the right shows how the funding for each Alliance member is split up. Hivos and Ibis have begun to do private fundraising in recent years and are slowly building a base for this type of income. In the year after the tsunami, private donations were back to a 'regular' level.

If one looks at the spending according to the MDGs and other areas, the overview to the right shows that in 2006, Alliance members spent close to 60% of their funding on MDG-related projects and activities.
The focus on emergeny aid after the tsunami pushed this percentage down in 2005. In 2006, there was a return towards a greater MDG focus.
